Local delivery
We run trailer loads across West Sussex and into neighbouring counties. Charged on distance and load size, not by the bale — so a bigger order works out cheaper per bale than a small one.
Areas we cover
- West Sussex — full county including Chichester, Bognor Regis, Arundel, Worthing, Petworth, Midhurst.
- East Hampshire — Petersfield, Havant, Emsworth, Hayling Island.
- Surrey — Guildford, Haslemere, Cranleigh and surrounding villages.
- Further afield — ask us. We can usually arrange a load if the order’s large enough.
Collect from the farm
If you’ve got a trailer or a 4×4 with a tow-hitch, picking up from the farm is usually the cheapest way to buy. We’ll have the order ready to load and can help you stack.
A few notes
- Always ring first — we want to make sure someone’s here and your order is to hand.
- Bring covers or straps — loose bales on a public road are nobody’s friend.
- Cash, card or bank transfer — whatever’s easiest.
- Find us at 28A Chalk Lane, Sidlesham, Chichester PO20 7LW.
From phone call to bales on your yard.
- Ring or email. Tell us what you’re feeding, roughly how much, and where you’re based.
- We’ll quote. A clear price for the hay and the delivery, no surprises on arrival.
- You confirm. We agree a delivery window or a collection time.
- Bales arrive. Or you turn up to the farm. Either way, we help you load or unload.
- Pay. On delivery or collection — cash, card, BACS.
We’re a working farm, not a 24-hour depot.
We’ll always do our best to turn things around quickly — most local orders go out within 2–5 days — but if we’re mid-cut and the weather’s good, we’ll be in the field. Ring first thing in the morning if you need something urgently and we’ll see what we can do.
For winter feeding, the best plan is to book ahead. A standing order through the cold months means we ring-fence stock for you and you don’t risk being short.
